Job Description
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems and software applications. - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources. - Manage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). - Oversee network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. - Configure and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. - Monitor and optimize network performance and connectivity. - Implement and maintain security policies and procedures. - Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with security standards. - Manage antivirus and malware protection software. - Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity. - Test disaster recovery plans and ensure rapid restoration of services in the event of a failure. - Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication mechanisms. - Provide technical support and training to users as needed. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. - Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions. - Work with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior system administrators/Helpdesk engineers and IT staff.- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems and software applications.
