Job Description
BIO-WEST, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and passionate ecologist to join our team of scientists in the San Marcos, Texas office. This is a full-time position that will consist of approximately 70% fieldwork and 30% office work. Specific ecological experience with Texas freshwater mussels, fishes, coastal birds, vegetation and/or endangered species is preferred, along with experience in GIS and map making. This position will involve conducting endangered species surveys, fish/mussel relocations, applied research, and population monitoring primarily related to Texas fauna and flora. The successful applicant should be well-versed in ecological data collection, GIS, analysis, and report preparation.
