About the Role: As an Akamai WAF Web Application Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect web applications from security threats. Key Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and maintain Akamai WAF to protect applications from cyber threats. Monitor security alerts, incidents, and logs, and respond to potential security breaches. Analyze and fine-tune WAF detection rules, alerts, and policies for maximum protection. Collaborate with teams to integrate WAF with CDNs like Akamai, Radware, and Cloudflare. Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend security improvements. Maintain detailed security documentation and prepare threat analysis reports. Train internal teams on WAF best practices and cybersecurity awareness. What Were Looking For: 5-10 years of experience in Web Application Security & WAF technologies (Akamai, F5, Cloudflare, Radware, etc.). Strong understanding of cybersecurity, threat analysis, and security operations. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for security incident tracking.
