Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef Steward to lead the stewarding team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization across the kitchen and dining facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in large-scale catering, especially in labor camp environments, and the ability to supervise a large team effectively. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all stewarding operations including cleaning, dishwashing, waste management, and hygiene control. Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards. Manage and train stewarding staff to maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety. Coordinate with the Executive Chef and Campboss for smooth kitchen operations. Maintain and monitor stewarding equipment and supplies, ensuring proper usage and timely maintenance. Implement waste management systems and environmentally friendly practices. Develop cleaning schedules and ensure they are followed consistently. Control stewarding manpower allocation to meet operational requirements. Prepare reports on stewarding operations and highlight any issues to management. Requirements: Minimum 46 years experience in stewarding operations (labor camp or large-scale catering experience preferred). Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP compliance. Proven experience in leading and training a stewarding team. Ability to handle high-volume operations with efficiency. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment. Basic knowledge of chemicals, cleaning agents, and equipment handling.
