Key Responsibilities of the Commis Chef (Indian, Continental, Tandoor): - Support the smooth running of the kitchen department, ensuring all aspects of the guest dining experience are delivered to the highest standard. - Work as part of a team to maximise guest satisfaction and comfort, providing prompt and positive responses to enquiries and problem resolution. - Take responsibility for the assigned duties, ensuring that all work is executed in a timely and professional manner. - Deliver on departmental plans and objectives, achieving hotel initiatives and targets. - Collaborate with your immediate seniors to control costs and inventory while maintaining high productivity and performance levels. - Build and maintain effective working relationships while promoting the company culture and values. The ideal candidate will: - Have experience in a similar role, ideally within Indian or Continental cuisine. - Demonstrate a passion for cooking and a desire to learn and improve culinary skills. - Be able to work effectively as part of a team, contributing positively to a collaborative environment. - Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Display creativity and a keen interest in developing unique dishes and menus. - Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. - Be adaptable and willing to take on new challenges as needed.
