Role Description - Junior Data Engineer
We are looking to hire a dynamic Junior Data Engineer to support the identification and implementation of complex data, monitor and troubleshoot data engineering incidents and more. The Junior-level Data Engineer is expected to have 1-5 years of experience.
The Marketing Activation Team oversees the technical aspects of our email and push notification technology stack. We aim to provide world class shopping experiences for our guests by enabling data to effectively personalize communication to guests. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual who is excited about delivering data-driven capabilities to meet lululemon’s growing marketing, insights, analytics, and intelligence capabilities leveraging the best-in-class industry proven solutions. This individual must have a track record of working in a collaborative environment, managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment and should take pride in evolving the entire organization to create the future data technology platform for growth. This person should have experience in retail and a background in project management with marketing technology stack.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Support identification and implementation of integration, modelling, and orchestration of
complex data using relevant coding language(s)
Monitor and troubleshoot data engineering related incidents
Support development and maintenance of relevant documentation
Participate in knowledge transfer activities, issues, and risks
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience: [optional]
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Experience with Snowflake
Experience with SQL, JavaScript, Python
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong documentation skills - creating templates and training material for cross-functional teams as well as internal team members.
Demonstrable self-reliance and flexibility in the workplace.
Must be self-confident, outgoing, and able to work effectively with management and staff.
Self-motivated, passionate, empathetic, and approachable.
