We are looking for a Design and Interface Manager to join our growing team. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the structural design of railway projects, specifically Ballast-less Track Structures. The Design and Interface Manager will be responsible for managing design aspects, ensuring high-quality output, maintaining effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders, and leading the design interface coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design activities for Ballast-less Track Structures.
- Coordinate with other project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure design requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure the highest quality of work.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth integration of design solutions with other project components.
- Manage design documentation, approvals, and revisions as per project requirements.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and design staff to foster a collaborative working environment.
- Liaise with external consultants, vendors, and contractors regarding design specifications, revisions, and project progress.
- Ensure timely delivery of design milestones while maintaining adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Manage risk assessments and propose mitigations in the design phase.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- In-depth knowledge of structural analysis, design principles, and codes related to railway and bridge infrastructure.
- Strong experience with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, or similar tools).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and clients.
- Strong leadership abilities and team management skills.
- Proficient in managing design interfaces and coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in project management, risk analysis, and decision-making in the design phase.
