Responsibilities
- Design & development of tooling - jigs and fixtures for aero-structure assemblies.
- Tool design using CATIA-V5 for detail parts and assemblies.
- Knowledge of machines & processes used in sheet metal aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerances of sheet metal components.
- Drive process improvements and continual improvement initiatives.
- Participate in CFT discussions for process mapping, tool validation.
- Support new product development.
- Problem-solving related to tooling and assembly.
- Manage new jig try-outs, validation, and tool assembly.
- Coordinate with internal departments during project execution.
- Compile and analyze data, prepare tool lists, tool drawings, etc.
- Prepare System Process Flow Charts (SPFC) in line with AS9100 requirements.
Knowledge & Critical Skills Required
- Assembly processes
- ProE Wildfire 4.0, AutoCAD, and CATIA V5R16
- Tooling requirements of aerospace OEMs
- Strong knowledge of tooling processes
- Familiarity with AS9000 standards & aerospace approvals
Desired Qualification & Experience
Education: DME / B.E. (Mechanical / Aeronautical / Aerospace)
Experience: 4-6 years in Aerospace / Manufacturing industry
