The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating project requirements, analyzing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with various departments to prepare competitive bids. The role involves assessing labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements for various engineering or construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Study tender documents, including scope of work, project requirements, and client expectations.
- Request and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain a cost database for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and process departments for technical and commercial input.
- Prepare bid proposals and ensure they comply with company standards and client requirements.
- Participate in pre-bid tender meetings, site visits, and client discussions.
- Review project risks and propose appropriate contingencies.
- Support project handover to execution team upon award of contract.
- Stay up to date with market rates ( Raw Material, Sub-contract items etc)
