Hays Construction & Development is proud to collaborate once again with a leading vertically integrated Developer/General Contractor focused on High Rise construction projects. As they expand, they are looking to enhance their Estimation department.

Our client, a vertically integrated developer and general contractor, is in search of a driven Intermediate Estimator to join their expanding team. Specializing in design-build high-rise residential and mixed-use developments, this company is renowned for delivering iconic projects that redefine skylines and communities.

As an Intermediate Estimator, you will be instrumental in the pre-construction phase, collaborating closely with internal design, construction, and development teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to prepare precise quantity take-offs and cost estimates
• Engaging in design development and value engineering discussions
• Crafting budgets, tender packages, and bid comparisons
• Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
• Facilitating project handoff to construction teams

To qualify for this crucial role, you should possess 3-5 years of estimating experience, preferably with a GC or developer on mid- to high-rise residential or commercial projects valued at around $40-50M or higher. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications is essential.

Experience with design-build project delivery and familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, Excel, or similar) are advantageous. Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is required, along with a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset, and a keenness to advance within a dynamic team.

Your educational background should include studies in construction estimating or estimating technology/architectural technology.
