Our client, a well-established General Contractor, is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their team in the London area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to further their career by working directly under an experienced Senior Estimator on a variety of municipal and industrial construction projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist the Senior Estimator with preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure complete scope coverage
- Collect and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing for inclusion in estimates
- Support in preparing quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns
- Work collaboratively with the project management team to transition successful bids into active projects
- Maintain organized records of bid documents, subcontractor communications, and project data
What We’re Looking For:
- 2-4 years of construction experience (estimation experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of municipal and/or industrial construction projects
- Proficiency with estimation software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
