I am partnered with an elite US law firm, recognised globally for advising on high-end, complex, and multi-jurisdictional matters across sectors. Their London office, based in one of the UK’s most sustainable and tech-forward buildings, is home to one of the largest international teams in the City.
The firm is now looking to bring on a Legal Assistant to join their Structured Finance Practice on an initial 6-month FTC, with scope for extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with prior paralegal or legal assistant experience, or someone who has already secured a Training Contract and is keen to gain first-hand exposure to high-profile structured finance transactions before commencing.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation and review of financing agreements and related transaction documents.
- Supporting attorneys through due diligence, closing checklists, and transaction closings.
- Conducting legal research on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Liaising with clients, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Drafting correspondence, reports, and maintaining organised records.
Person Specification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or related field (SQE/LPC desirable but not essential).
- Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience, ideally in structured finance, financial services, or corporate law.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with legal databases advantageous.
