We are looking for an experienced Legal Consultant with strong expertise in real estate laws, RERA, property transactions, and dispute resolution to support our legal and compliance function in Mumbai. The role involves providing strategic legal advice, managing regulatory compliance, handling documentation, and ensuring the company’s interests are protected in all property-related dealings.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise management on property laws, RERA, MOFA, stamp duty, registration, and allied laws.
- Ensure project compliance with MahaRERA and other statutory bodies.
- Monitor changes in real estate regulations and assess business impact.
Documentation & Contracts
- Draft, review, and vet real estate agreements (Agreements for Sale, Lease Deeds, MOUs, Development Agreements, JVs, Conveyance Deeds, etc.).
- Conduct due diligence on land / property titles and related documents.
- Ensure legal accuracy in sales, marketing, and promotional material.
- Represent / coordinate representation before MahaRERA, Consumer Forums, Civil Courts, and Tribunals.
- Handle customer complaints, settlements, and dispute resolution.
- Liaise with external counsels and track litigation progress.
- Guide Sales, CRM, Project, and Finance teams on legal requirements.
- Support in risk management, compliance audits, and corporate governance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: LLB / LLM from a reputed university (specialization in real estate law preferred).
- Experience: 6-12 years of experience in real estate sector, with strong exposure to RERA and property laws.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of real estate transactions, RERA Act, MOFA, property registrations, and contract law.
- Skills:
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle litigations independently.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving and advisory capability.
