The Spine Surgery group of Canada East Spine Centre in Saint John, New Brunswick is seeking a skilled and dedicated Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Technologist to support complex spinal and select cranial surgeries. You will perform real-time neurophysiological monitoring and contribute to a nationally recognized academic and research-focused environment. This full-time role includes occasional, emergent after-hours coverage and the opportunity, if desired, to participate in clinical research.

Summary of Duties

• Consult with surgeons and anesthesiologists regarding patient risks and IONM modalities
• Clearly communicate the IONM procedure to patients preoperatively
• Place and verify all electrodes per established protocols
• Monitor multimodal waveforms (SSEP, MEP, EMG, etc.) during surgery
• Provide timely feedback to the surgical team on patient status
• Upload and maintain surgical logs accurately
• Maintain IONM equipment and report any technical issues
• Apply appropriate monitoring protocols; troubleshoot signal issues as needed
• Keep current with literature and best practices in IONM
• Participate in occasional, emergent after-hours cases
