Sechler Law Firm, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal with 5-7 years of experience in estate planning, probate, or elder law. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Pennsylvania probate procedures, estate planning documents, and a client-focused mindset. (Medicaid filing experience is a plus.)
This role works closely with attorneys to prepare documents, manage cases, and support families with compassion and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft wills, trusts, POAs & healthcare directives under attorney supervision.
- Support probate & estate administration: petitions, notices, inheritance tax returns & fiduciary accountings.
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions & court personnel.
- Maintain organized case files & deadlines in the firm’s case management system.
- Assist with educational workshops & community events.
- Coordinate guardianship filings & related court follow-ups.
- Ensure accuracy & compliance with PA legal procedures.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ paralegal experience in estate planning, probate, or elder law.
- Strong knowledge of PA probate processes & inheritance tax.
- Familiar with estate planning terms & documents.
- Excellent organizational & communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office & case management software.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
(Paralegal certificate or legal education preferred but not required with sufficient experience.)
