The Electrical Engineering Department at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant with a strong passion for research in blockchain technology. This position is critical to our ongoing projects, which focus on integrating blockchain into circular economy models, particularly in the area of solar panel recycling and sustainable energy solutions.
Position: Research Assistant
Location: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore.
Contract Duration: 1 Year (Extendable based on performance and project requirements)
*Key Responsibilities:*
Lead research efforts on the application of blockchain technology in renewable energy, focusing on developing decentralized solutions for solar panel recycling.
Design, implement, and test blockchain-based frameworks for tracking the lifecycle of solar panels and facilitating circular economy practices.
Collaborate closely with faculty, research staff, and industry partners to drive innovation in blockchain applications within the energy sector.
Contribute to high-impact research publications and present findings at conferences and workshops.
Support the team in integrating blockchain solutions with existing systems, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
*Requirements:*
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong focus on blockchain technology.
Proven experience in blockchain development, including smart contracts, and cryptocurrency frameworks.
Understanding in renewable energy systems or circular economy models.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
