We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join Prof. Xiaonan Wang’s Smart Chemical Engineering Center at Tsinghua University. The successful candidate will support cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI, carbon neutrality, and materials & systems engineering. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the translation of AI-driven labs to real industrial impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of AI/ML algorithms for chemical & materials discovery.
• Support the development of domain-specific databases and "Chem/Materials GPT".
• Contribute to research on intelligent low-carbon systems and lifecycle optimization.
• Collaborate with team members to translate research into practical applications.

Required Skills

• Fundamentals in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Energy, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• Basic proficiency in Python and machine learning concepts (or strong motivation to learn).
• Interest in molecular dynamics (MD) and/or density functional theory (DFT).
