Job Description

<p>We are looking for an experienced General Manager. You must be hands-on, and financially astute General Manager to take the reins of a large operation.</p><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Proven Lodge or Hotel Management Experience</li><li>Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role in safari lodges, bush hotels, or tented camps.</li><li>Strong Financial & Systems Knowledge</li><li>Confident in budgeting, cost control, payroll, and financial reporting. Must be fully operational on SEMPER or a similar property management system.</li><li>Operational Expertise across All Departments</li><li>Deep understanding of housekeeping, food & beverage, facilities, guest logistics, and lodge presentation.</li><li>People & HR Leadership skills and knowledge</li><li>A motivator who thrives on team development, performance management, and creating a strong service culture. </li><li>Solid understanding of HR legislation, disciplinary procedures, and fair labour practice.</li><li>Guest-Centric & Quality-Focused</li><li>Committed to delivering consistently warm, authentic service in a high-volume environment.</li><li>Community-Driven Outlook</li><li>Values social impact, enjoys mentoring and growing local talent, and understands the importance of cultural exchange in the guest experience.</li></ul>
