The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial integrity and compliance of our catering operations. This position requires a hands-on professional with extensive experience in the F&B or catering industry, who will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, cost control, and mentoring the junior accounting staff. Key Responsibilities & Job Description: Financial Reporting & Control: Execute the month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness. Prepare and present monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for review by the Finance Manager. Perform detailed financial variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and report findings to the Finance Manager. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers. Manage bank reconciliations and oversee company cash flow projections in coordination with the Finance Manager. Handle complex accounting areas including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions. Ensure strict adherence to UAE VAT regulations; prepare detailed workings for the VAT return for review by the Finance Manager. Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing all necessary schedules and documentation as directed by the Finance Manager. Implement and monitor strong internal control systems as per company policy. Team Support & Collaboration: Supervise and mentor the Junior Accountant, reviewing their work and facilitating their professional development. Work closely with the Cost Controller to validate and integrate cost data into the general ledger and financial reports.
