Job Description
The Supervisor of the information Technology Department is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, performance, and efficiency of the departments IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, coordinating system updates, and ensuring that all information technology resources are optimized to meet the organization's goals. The supervisor also collaborates with other departments to ensure proper integration and utilization of IT services
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision: Manage and lead a team of system administrators, network engineers, and IT support staff. Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and improvement of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, databases, and network systems.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with the IT Manager to prioritize and implement system updates, new technologies, and improvements to current systems.
Security: Ensure systems security by enforcing company policies related to data security, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
Technical Support: Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and troubleshoot system failures or performance issues.
Vendor Management: Work with external vendors to purchase hardware, software, and IT services. Manage service level agreements and ensure proper system integrations.
Compliance: Ensure all systems and procedures
Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of the department's budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
