Job Description

Hire Resolve Client is looking for an experienced Unit Manager to join their team in Dolphin Coast/Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. Responsibilities: Oversee and ensure the delivery of safe, cost-effective, and quality patient care in line with clinical governance standards and evidence-based practices. Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement. Coordinate training, development, and mentoring programs for nursing staff to enhance their skills and professional growth. Monitor staff performance, manage attendance, and ensure adequate coverage in the unit at all times. Manage unit activities, including addressing irregularities and policy violations, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, policies, and relevant healthcare legislation. Control and monitor the use of drugs and emergency stock in accordance with regulatory standards. Identify opportunities for quality improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient care services. Participate in the implementation of National Core Standards and other quality initiatives. Conduct patient rounds regularly to ensure a high standard of customer-centric service. Foster effective working relationships with medical practitioners, hospital management, patients, and other stakeholders. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.
