Are you a dedicated and skilled Water Resources Engineer ready to make a meaningful impact on Colorado's water future? We're recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing consulting firm seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join their Denver office.
You'll be instrumental in delivering critical water infrastructure projects across the Front Range and throughout Colorado, with a focus on sustainable water management and resource optimization. Your responsibilities will include:
Water Systems Design & Analysis:
- Water supply and distribution system design
- Hydraulic modeling and system analysis
- Water treatment facility design and upgrades
- Pump station and storage tank design
- Water quality assessment and monitoring programs
Stormwater & Drainage Management:
- Urban drainage master planning
- Stormwater BMP design and implementation
- Flood mitigation and dam safety evaluations
- Stream restoration and channel design
- Low Impact Development (LID) solutions
Regulatory Compliance & Permitting:
- Colorado Division of Water Resources coordination
- EPA and CDPHE permit applications
- 404/401 wetland permitting
- NPDES stormwater compliance
- Water rights analysis and documentation
Specialized Colorado Projects:
- Snowpack and watershed modeling
- Irrigation system design and modernization
- Municipal water system planning
- Drought contingency and water conservation planning
- High-altitude and mountain community water systems
Project Leadership & Client Relations:
- Technical report preparation and peer review
- Construction administration and field inspection
- Coordination with municipalities, water districts, and state agencies
- Client presentations and stakeholder engagement
- Mentoring junior staff and project coordination
