Job Description

<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Develop and qualify Welding Procedures (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT) in line with ASME, API, or equivalent standards.</li><li>Provide technical guidance to welders and production staff to ensure high-quality welds for pressure-containing valve components.</li><li>Supervise welding operations and troubleshoot issues related to materials, processes, and defects.</li><li>Collaborate with QA/QC teams on inspections, NDT, and metallurgical testing.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives in welding practices to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.</li><li>Maintain detailed welding documentation and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.</li></ul><h3>Candidate Profile:</h3><ul><li>Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Technology.</li><li>6-8 years of relevant experience in valve manufacturing or similar heavy engineering domains.</li><li>Deep understanding of welding standards (ASME Sec IX, API 598/600/602).</li><li>Proficiency in welding techniques: TIG, MIG, SMAW, and Sub-Arc (SAW) welding.</li><li>Experience in working with carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, and alloy steels.</li><li>Familiarity with NDT methods, heat treatment, and metallurgical evaluation.</li><li>Strong analytical, documentation, and team collaboration skills.</li></ul>
