Azure Cloud Architect

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days on-site in Richmond, VA) and the chance to work on cutting-edge cloud solutions. Mandatory for state submission: Provide two professional references, including official email and contact details. Position Details: Title: Azure Cloud Architect Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid - 3 days/week on-site) Duration: 1 year (05/01/2025 - 04/30/2026) Key Responsibilities: Advise on Azure architecture and security for migrations, refactoring, and cloud-native solutions. Design and test minimal viable products (MVPs) in Azure. Configure Azure services to meet agency objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business needs. Ensure compliance with security policies and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience in: Cloud fundamentals and multi-cloud strategies. Designing cloud solutions to meet business requirements. Azure network, storage, and services (Key Vault, Entra ID, etc.). Azure Functions, Web Apps, Containers, microservices, and serverless architecture. Cloud security (zero-trust, network segmentation, JIT access). Architecting solutions for RPO/RTO objectives in Azure. DevOps (Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise Cloud). Data storage (SQL Server, Oracle, Cosmos DB). On-premise architecture. Strong documentation skills (position papers, architecture docs). Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Certification (required). Excellent communication skills for technical and business audiences. Compliance & Logistics: Candidates must reside in the US for the duration of the assignment. On-site requirement: 3 days/week in Richmond, VA (no exceptions).
