Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our legal team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have experience in UAE legal procedures and be capable of providing high-level administrative support to lawyers and legal consultants in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, draft, and proofread legal documents including contracts, agreements, legal notices, court bundles, and memoranda in compliance with UAE law. Manage and maintain case files, client records, and legal databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments with clients, courts, and government departments such as DIFC, DLD, Dubai Courts, and Notary Public. File legal documents and applications with UAE courts and regulatory bodies, both manually and through online portals like Dubai Courts e-Services or ADJD. Liaise with clients, external counsel, government authorities, and service providers to facilitate legal processes. Translate legal documents from English to Arabic (if bilingual) or liaise with certified translation providers. Handle document legalization, notarization, and attestations with the Ministry of Justice, MOFAIC, or embassies. Manage legal billing, invoice tracking, and timekeeping records. Provide general administrative support, including handling calls, emails, office supplies, and file archiving. Qualifications & Requirements: Diploma or degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of legal secretarial or administrative experience, preferably in the UAE. Knowledge of UAE legal system, court procedures, and regulatory environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal case management software, and online court portals. Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Preferred Attributes: Prior experience in a Dubai-based law firm or legal department. Familiarity with DIFC, ADGM, or free zone legal procedures. Bilingual - English and Arabic (must) UAE residency or sponsorship eligibility.
