Job Description

Ensure overall compliance within the microbiology laboratory. Plan and organize microbiological analyses and report any non-conformances identified during analysis. Plan for the development of laboratory personnel to meet regulatory and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements. Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth laboratory operations. Review and approve all microbiological procedures, reports, SOPs, STPs, and protocols. Review environmental monitoring and water trends. Develop and validate cost-saving methods. Conduct internal audits to maintain effective laboratory operations. Train microbiologists on technical testing skills. Assign tasks to microbiologists and provide feedback on their daily activities. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements. Plan and manage the procurement of laboratory reagents, media, instruments, chemicals, and upgrades. Participate in product failure investigations. Assist in the recruitment and final selection of microbiology staff. Assess the annual performance of subordinates. Oversee and conclude change control, deviation, and GMP documentation processes. Manage and oversee responses and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) related to audits. Conduct vendor audits for raw materials, packaging materials, reagents, and equipment. Update quality documents in accordance with current pharmacopeia standards. Ensure all testing instruments are qualified and calibrated on time as per respective SOPs. Approve raw materials, stability products, and finished products according to specifications. Participate in process failure investigations to identify root causes.
