We are hiring a Progress DBA for a contract role based in Pune. If you have 4-6 years of experience in managing and supporting Production, QA, and Development environments with a focus on Progress databases, this is a great opportunity for you! Key Responsibilities: Administer and manage all Production, QA, and Development environments. Database Creation: Create and manage databases for different environments. Oversee and ensure database backups are regularly taken, and manage data growth efficiently. Refreshing QA and Development environments with data from live/production. Perform Database Performance Tuning, including proactive housekeeping tasks to ensure optimal database performance. Execute Database Dump and Load operations as necessary. Work with Progress 11.7 and newer versions from the 12.x series. Manage and support Progress AppServer and PASOE (Progress Application Server for OpenEdge). Required Skills & Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience working with Progress DBA roles. Strong knowledge of Progress Database (11.7 and 12.x series). Experience with PASOE App Servers and related configurations. Hands-on experience with database administration tasks including performance tuning, backups, and data growth management. Proficient in database dumps and loads. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting. Strong understanding of database refresh and maintaining the integrity of different environments.
